DENIGRATION OF HINDU GODS IS THE REAL REASON FOR ATTACK ON CHRISTIANS IN MANGALORE
The Following are the list of abuses from one such book – Satya Darshini – distributed by the missionaries of New Life. This book is in Kannada and the translation of the abusive passage is as follows.
· Urvashi – the daughter of Narayana– is a prostitute. Vashitha is the son of this prostitute. He in turn married his own Mother. Such a degraded person is the Guru of the Hindu God Rama. (page 48)
· When Krishna himself is wallowing in darkness of hell, how can he enlighten others? Since Krishna himself is a shady character, there is a need for us to liberate his misled followers. (page 50)
· It was Brahma himself who kidnapped Sita. Since Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva were themselves the victims of lust, it is a sin to consider them as Gods. (page 39)
· When the Trinity of Hinduism (Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva) are consumed by lust and anger, how can they liberate others. Their projection as Gods is nothing but a joke. (page 39).
· When Vishnu asked Brahma to commit a sin, he immediately did so. How can such a “evil brahma” be a Creator of this Universe? How is it possible for both the sinner and the entity which provoked the sin to be gods? (page 39)
· God, please liberate the sinful people of India who are worshipping False Gods that believe in the pleasures of illicit ‘Vyabichari’ relationships. (Page 39).
2. All the 16 incidents that took place were not attack on Churches. In fact, unauthorized prayer halls were attacked where the blasphemous pamphlets were distributed and aggressive proselytisation was taking place. These 16 incidents were not localized but took place across three districts of Mangalore, Udupi and Chikmagalur.
3. The only place where attacks took place apart from New Life Prayer Halls was at a small prayer hall in the premises of Milagres Church in Mangalore, where some miscreants had damaged a Jesus idol. The VHP and the Bajrang Dal have condemned the attack at this place. Following this incident, a Christian mob gathered and the situation went out of control as the mob started pelting stones and disrupting traffic. The police was forced to intervene and this resulted in unsavoury violence.
4. Since the past two days, it is not Hindu-Christian clashes that are taking place. In fact, it is more appropriate to call it”Christian-Police” clashes since the Christians holed up in Churches have engaged themselves in pelting of stones and disruption of traffic. The Police were forced to enter the Church to clear the mob and they found arms inside the Church.
5. Incidents of Stabbing were reported in around four or five places across Mangalore district. In fact, an activist belonging to Shri Ram Sena was stabbed which led to a bandh call by Shri Ram Sena – a Hindu outfit that is not connected to Sangh Parivar.
6. The VHP and the Bajrang Dal have condemned the desecration of Jesus idol at the prayer hall adjacent to the Milagres Church in Mangalore. They have also clarified that they are not against the Catholic faith and the Churches. However, they have clarified that the public outcry would continue as long as illicit conversion activities and blasphemy of Hindu gods take place.
7. Even the Kandhmahal murder — which involved the killing of Hindu monk Swami Lakshmananda by missionaries – seems to have caste a shadow on this incident since the general public seems to have seen through Christian aggression.
8. It may be recalled that there was a public outcry against illegal prayer halls in Davanagere district last week. In that case, the administration had closed the unauthorized prayer halls that were mushrooming in the region.

Religion is the opium of the people. It is very easy to ignite people and bhajrangdal has been doing so. I have read Dr.V. K acharya’s blog which claims the christian youth took law into their hands and that is why the police caned them which isn’t true. his photos are manipulative. though they are just 2% of india’s total population christians work in social service and education is remarkable. i myself is a product of such high moral standard and i am produd that i studied in catholic institute but i have not given up my hinduism as bhajrang dal falsely propagate. just see the other side of the story and you will know how much extent has our home minister has gone to save bhajrangdal.

Good to see some sensible Hindus here.
We all are proud of our culture, Indianess and religion. In the pictures in the links you posted I don’t see anything to be proud. Is this the proper way to defend our culture? If this is our culture, its worth not defending. Mr. Kamath and party are trying to justify these things by giving some silly excuses.
Hinduism as a religion or culture is not something that will vanish due to a bunch of missionaries or Islamic fanatics. At the same time Hinduism is not something faultless and Christianity and Islam something barbaric.
We should remain as Hindus and go forward correcting our mistakes. At the same time we will should not let some goons to forward their vested political interests in the name of our religion.
Why the cry over conversion when almost every Hindu Swami & Guru are flooding USA to find disciples among rich whites? What about ISKCON? Sometimes I wonder why not even a single Swami or Guru don’t go to African jungles to teach them Enlightenment!
The solution to the mistakes done by missionaries or Islamic fanatics should be within the limits of the law. Once you take the law into your hands you are a goon & barbarian, it doesn’t make a difference if you wear a tilak and shout Jai Sriram when commiting the atrocities.

its sad that such things are/were published. i can confirm to you Catholics dont engage in such low-grade activities. If its true then it must be a fundamentalist group who may belong to some Christian Denomination. Plus, if this is true the organizations that found this out ( BD/VHP) should have lodged a police complaint and filed a case against whoever published this book. As of now, they haven’t even identified who/which group has publised such a material.

Mr Deepak Kamat is not a fool. he is an intelligent person and a good actor. Not just a good actor but a good script writer. He has hardened his heart on purpose. It is not that he doesnot know what is truth. He is using his might for dividing the mangaloreans and pushing for his vested interests.
Conscience is God and one who doesnot listen to conscience is a bluff. People please wake up from this fallacy before it is too late. We are not ready to work among the most poor sick down trodden and helpless people. But those who do the selfless service are killed by these so called saviors of hinduism.
These cheap people should be tried by the state but sadly the government itself to belong to such people that justice is denied to the suffering and protection is given to culprits. Please save our hinduism from these goondas and help us leave peacefully and be proud of our hindu culture.

It is the prevailing deep rooted problems in Hindu society has paved the ways for the missionaries to engage in conversion act. Similarly our Swamijis and Babas are taking advantage of free society of Western countries. Local low caste people are kept at a bay without any access to religious scriptures and rituals and we gleefully watch when the Western people, described in our scriputers as “mletchcha” countries, recite mantras and perform our rituals. If our so called, self proclaimed, hindu leaders don’t address these social issues whatever written or discussed in this blog will be a mere “shadow boxing”.
Just imagine, what would have happened had US been a hardline Christian country like Saudi Arabia???? So the US free society is blessing in disguise for us to reform ourselves and discover the lost righ heritage and culture.

Isn’t atleast some of the Sangh Parivar organizations (particularly VHP and Bajran Dal) do organized violence (often indirectly) and fanaticism?
Particularly we should mention Gujarat riots and recent Orissa incident. In both cases we hear reports that crowds went with lists on whom to attack and what to destroy. Who organized all these?
Leave Christian and Muslims for the time being, what about the problems organizations like Bajrang Dal create in the name Valentine’s Day, etc?

There is no need to save Hinduism as long as we live as proper Hindus.
If missionaries are fooling poor Hindus (though its true in some cases, Sangh Parivar propaganda has highly exaggerated it) to Christianity it because of two reasons:
i) These poors were ignorant of what Hinduism is and were not Hindus at all (you can’t be a Hindu unless you know what Hinduism is) and was thus liable to be fooled. Its the fault of other Hindus like us that we never told them what Hinduism is.
ii) If a person converts for any material reason, its because he considers the material benefit more important than his religion. Its a private matter of the person getting converted and not the business of any one of us.
In either way the Sangh Parivar approach is not correct.

Before justifying on how proud Sangh Parivar members are defending Hinduism through violence (often concealed and indirect), consider a similar case.
December 6, 1992 Babri Masjid was demolished. At the same time when fanatics were celebrating the great victory of Hindu fighters, Muslim fanatics and mobs went on rampage all over Bangladesh attacking innocent Hindus. Innocent Hindus were murdered, women of all ages were raped. Houses, property and worship places of Hindus were destroyed.
Aren’t the Sangh and people like you justifying this kind of a logic? Aren’t you trying to brainwash others into this kind of an attitude here.
The logic seems to be something like, “we have had enough, now its time to fight back”
Its after multiple acts like this by Muslims all over the world, that Muslims & Islam got the extremely negative image. Do you want Hindus and Hinduism to end up like this? Suspected and contempted all over the world. I don’t want myself and my religion to be known to in that way.
Before trying to fool others will lies like missionaries are going to convert everyone and thus eliminated Hinduism, why don’t you just look at the census figures? A few tribals or Hindus converted here or there is not going to affect Hinduism in the least. As I said earlier, if Hinduism was not eliminated over the past 1000 years under Islamic and colonial rule, its not going to be eliminated now.
Its a mark of fascism that they need to create enemies to bring some solidarity within their own group. Its similar to the propaganda of Hitler against Jews.
Atleast today (I don’t know about the future), most Hindus won’t agree with this kind of an attitude.

Is it not a sin to instigate violence?? If you throw stones at police officer do you thinkstones at police officer do you think he will be quite ?? I myself knew a pentacostal church were people got converted for money. I know a ex coworker who openly degrades our gods and godess and still works in the company… some people talk like as if they have extra rights to bash other religions only coz they are minorities! and expects no one to question them even when they are at fault. Using Gandhiji’s opinion on christian missionaries is ridiculous by RSS Bhajrangdal outfits.It shows their double standards. They do not want to accept same Gandhiji’s opinion about dalits. Infact it was those facists who murdered our bapuji.

You seem to have lost the logic.Just for revenge if innocent victims are beaten it is wrong. They may be of our caste or muslims or christians. Some stray incidents of conversion.. and you blame the whole sect for it ..then it is wrong. Moreover even if the person mentioned by you has converted for money it is not illegal by law and you are not above law, infact no one is above law.

Hinduism is about being natural and not artificially cultured. Regarding guilt, why don’t the Christians feel guilty for the millions of massacres.
