DAMN THE HINDUS TO WIN GLOBAL AWARDS

With everyone singing hosannas to Danny Boyle’s Slumdog Millionaire, let me offer an alternative perspective.
This film targets the easiest of targets: the average placid Hindu. The hero is, of course, a Muslim in India, whose mother is burned to death by an attack on Muslims by barbaric, fanatical Hindu mobs. No need for subtlety in either dialogue or depiction here; the Hindu mob says: “They are Muslims. Let us hit them,” and the hapless Muslims cry as they flee in terror: “The Hindus are coming! The Hindus are coming.”
To make sure his point about Hindu devilry is not missed, director Boyle has a shot of a child dressed as Rama, one of Hinduism’s most cherished gods. Imagine the outcry that would have resulted if Boyle had reversed the above: i.e., had a shot of a child dressed as prophet Mohammed or Jesus as Muslims/Christians hurried off to persecute members of another faith! But since Hindus seem oblivious to any and every insult, Boyle has not only gotten away with his blasphemies, but seems well on his way to awards and accolades.
The sledgehammer hits against Hindus and Hinduism does not end there. On the TV show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, the Muslim hero is asked a question by the TV host: “What weapons does Lord Rama bear in his hands?” Our Muslim hero answers: “if it wasn’t ram or allah, my mother would have been alive.”
I have picked just two of many blasphemies from Boyle’s film. And he is being feted and felicitated, because most Hindus have been too cowed by hundreds of years of Mogul invasions and British rule and subsequent Christian conversions to feel any sense of pride in their faith or outrage when their beliefs and Gods are blasphemed. We take no pride in India being a secular democracy—for Hinduism openly sheltering, over thousands of years, Christians and Jews from Syria and Persia, who fled Islamic persecution; Parsis who fled Muslim persecution for worshiping Zoroaster; Armenians who fled the Turks, and now Tibetans fleeing China. We take no pride in the fact that our faith does not ask us to proselytize or convert anyone else, nor are we proud that Hindus have never waged wars or invaded any other country in the name of religion. We give no credit to our religion for having the open-mindedness to give freedom of worship to others who believe differently, so that Christians, Jews, Muslims, Bahais, Jains, Sikhs, Zoroastrians and others can rightly call India their home.
And since the average Hindu is without pride—or a clue, for that matter—we have become the easiest of targets. There will be no “fatwas” against Boyle and his cast and crew, no protests or organized expression of outrage by Hindus against his producers and distributors. Indeed, most Hindus would be delighted that a white man has made a film about their country. After all, any attention from whites and the Western media—even of the most viciously negative sort—must be good!

I wonder what Muslims would have thought if they or Allah were projected as such or even the Christians with Jesus dipictated holding the cross as Lord Rama was. Danny Boyle knows that Muslims and Christians are well organized (and funded) and didnt have the balls to project them negatively. We Hindus need to organize better and protest against such discrimination without the use of violence.

Rahman’s conversion to Islam.
In fact the quiet music composer even received a lot of flak for the same. It was in the year 1989 that Dileep Kumar and his family converted into Islam. It wasn’t a very difficult decision to make as his mother Kareema Begum belonged to a Muslim family. Also, in 1988, one of his sisters fell seriously ill and in spite of the family’s effort to cure her, her health deteriorated by the day. They happened to meet a Muslim Pir – Sheik Abdul Qadir Jeelani or Pir Qadri. His prayers and blessings did wonder for his sister who made a miraculous comeback to life. Thus began the journey of A.S.Dileep Kumar to A.R. Rahman.

Glad to see Brahmins are rejecting Aryan Invasion Theory, in these modern times of Democracy.. But during British times, Brahmins only promoted AIT, cos it help them to closely identify with their Brahmin masters, in terms of race..

How else that Slumdog Millionaire, which literally defecating on India from the first frame (a child who plunges into a sea of crap to get an autograph of Amitabh Bacchan), is a tobacco? Some scenes from the film are, however, in the perverted imagery of director Danny Boyle, because we can not find them in the book by Vikas Swarup, an Indian diplomat, whose film is based. The hero of the film (which is not Muslim, but many religions: Ram Mohammad Thomas) does not pass his childhood in Bombay, but in a Catholic orphanage in Delhi. Jamal’s mother is not killed by “Hindu fanatics’ in the book, but she abandons her baby, of unknown religion in a church. Jamal torture is not a television presenter, but an American who wants the Russian who bought the television rights of the game. The scene of tears three children abandoned in the rain is also not in the book. Jamal and his heroine from colliding when they are teenagers and they live in an apartment and not in a slum.

Its is stupid to think that a just because a friction movie that shows muslim kids going through things and unfortunately mother being killed by hindu guys give you these insane idea of showing hindu’s or muslim or any1 infact bad. There are a million movies made some for a cause and some for ENTERTAINMENT. Stop living in ur cynical world, and enjoy the art rather than your imaginary messages that the movie does not intend. You should rather focus on India being on the center stage of with the world, this movie winning awards everywhere it goes. Finally i’d just like to say F**k y** for the s**t you think.

With Jehadi terrorism, Eangelical Terrorism India is reeling. I must say there is “reactionary” Hindu acts to counter these, but rarely. India has become a playground for two abrahamic cousins i.e Islam and Christianity to dominate. Hindus, sikhs, jains, buddhists and such followers are subjugated.

Modern Hindutwa propagated Hindusim is a curiosity shop. In the front window you see all the cultural artifacts – dancing figurines, veena etc. Once inside you see the books (the thoughts) of metaphysical ideas which nobody has any use at this point. The store keeper Brahmins take as around to all the stone idiols, meanwhile they go to the littel fire alter and practice their ancient Iranian Homa secretly. In between he keeps kicking the dalit servant who is mopping the floor. Behind the closet you can see skeletons of Muslims and Budhist they killed. The spiritually startved white guy comes and read some of those old metaphysical books and gets inspired. As he pay the Brahmin some money he does not see the meaning of all those idols sitting around. The Brahmins explains: “that is a side show, if that is what people want let them take that”. Then he points out to the Budhist store on the other side of the street, claims , “see that, that one belongs to us too”.
The westerner with free spirit (who is upset with Christianity to for telling him there is a certain way you should live), is impressed with the options and writes a wonderful book about this curiosity shop

Hindus (more than 80% of the populatiom) are subjugated by Christians and Muslims?? Are you serious? Tell that to the Christians in Orissa, or missionaries and converts who are murdered. (And by the way Dalits wouldnt be converting to Christianity if they weren’t oppressed under the caste system.) Tell that to Muslims attacked in riots.
Yes the majority of Hindus are peaceful, just like the majorities of Muslims and Christians.
But seriously.. saying things like “What would happen if the movie showed Christians and Muslims being violent” Stop lying to yourself!!
There have been MANY movies made on Crusades etc, and Catholic/Protestant violence. And walk into a video store.. these days you are hard pressed NOT to find a movie that doesn’t mention terrorism. There are LOADS of movies on Muslim violence. And yet this is the first movie I have EVER seen on hindu violence. (apart from a documentary on honour killings, which isn’t the same thing.)
Yes the scene is one-sided and biased. That’s how it is in movies, “goodies and baddies,” black and white with no shades of grey in between.
My advice: suck it up. Admit and acknowledge your religion, like every other, has fundamentalists who commit these crimes. Stop whining about how hindus the most powerful population in India are “victimised” (ridiculous assertion), that these things don’t happen (blatant denial of reality) & that it is so unfair and biased to portray hindu violence (go rent any one of the MANY films with terrorists or psycho CHristian fundies, or crusaders etc.)

The entire film has a symbolic theme of Hindus persecuting Muslims.
Did you notice how Prem Kumar, the Hindu game show host played by Anil Kapoor, is very cruel to the young Muslim protagonist Jamal? In real-life it is Hindu icon Amitabh Bachchan who hosts that show. Kumar is a subtle travesty of him. This is a good way of demoralising a community. No wonder Bachchan’s feathers were ruffled upon its release.
Furthermore, Muslims are portrayed negatively only as criminal underworld types (Javed and his goons), while the negative spin on Hindus is in terms of their religion (Ram), their cultural icons (see above), and their ideology (the riot scenes will obviously be attributed to Hindutva) which form the very core of Hindu civilisational identity.
The most tragic part is that so many Hindus have shown appreciation for the film. These are the ones who will internalise the negative stereotyping and lose their identity. As a result they will have no special sympathy and loyalty towards each other nor any inclination to preserve their civilisation and will instead embrace pseudo-secularism which will further give Marxists, Muslims and Missionaries the means to continue pursuing their overlapping mission of de-Hinduizing Bharat. To understand the power of identity observe Muslims. They have very strong identity which is the basis of their strong tribal loyalty and sympathy.
Just because Hindus form 80% of the nation it doesn’t mean that people won’t seek to undermine them. If that were the case then why did Macaulay specifically focus on Hindus? To acquire political power in India it is the majority not the minority that has to be brought to heel, and that best way of doing it is psychologically.

Security agencies may have achieved some success in apprehending a few terrorists planning attacks in Mumbai, but investigators say the arrests are just a tip of the iceberg.
”The ISI has brought together underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, Tiger Memon, and elements of the LeT, Jaish-e-Mohammad and Indian Mujahideen operatives such as Amir Reza Khan to create terror and mayhem throughout the country,” an investigator said.
The officer added the information was gleaned from inputs from central intelligence agencies and also through those involved in planning the terror attacks.
”Abdul Latif, who has been arrested, is a relative of Bashir Khan. The latter was involved in planting explosives in the first serial blasts in Mumbai in 1993. Since the 1993 bomb blasts had a bigger involvement of Tiger than Dawood, we believe Tiger has once again been roped in to create terror,” the officer said.
The official added that ever since Tiger fled to Pakistan after the bomb blasts, this is the first time they are suspecting his involvement in a terrorist activity.
The officers are concerned that the ISI is focusing on hitherto safe areas. For instance, Abdul latif and Riyaz Ali have revealed they scouted a well-known colony in Borivili and a mall in Malad to plant explosives
