MANGALORE PUB ILLEGAL: MEDIA BUNGLES AGAIN WHILE PROJECTING HINDU TERROR
It turned out that the Mangalore pub — where girls were attacked by SRS hooligans — was actually an illegal dance bar. The anti-Hindu media — in its anxiety to project Hindu terrorism — only justified women trafficking.

Women’s Commission moots cancellation of Mangalore pub’s licence
Bangalore: The National Commission for Women (NCW) Friday said the license of the Mangalore pub where women were attacked last week should be cancelled as it was illegally allowing live band performances and lacked proper security.
A three-member NCW team, led by Nirmala Venkatesh, visited the pub Amnesia – The Lounge, where members of the Sri Rama Sene attacked women on Jan 24. Venkatesh said “We heard there was live band performance when it had license only to serve food.”
“We were also told that some girls were participating (in dancing),” Venkatesh told reporters.
“We checked the pub’s documents and are not satisfied with the explanation given by its owners,” Venkatesh said. “The pub also had no security guard.”
“They have no right to run the pub like that. The NCW will recommend cancellation of the license,” Venkatesh said.
The team met some of the 27 accused who are lodged in a jail. “They have expressed regret for their action,” she said.
Venkatesh said she has asked the district authorities to take action against pubs running without licenses and proper security.
Around 40 members of Sri Rama Sene (army of god Rama) barged into Amnesia on Jan 24 and bashed up several young women who were there with a group of men.
The Sene justified the attack saying they were “protecting traditional Indian values”.
Its vice president Prasad Attavar and 26 others were arrested two days after the attack. Attavar did not take part in the attack but defended it.
Sene founder president Pramod Muthalik, who was away in Maharashtra on the day of the attack, was arrested Thursday for justifying the action.

Reality: St. Thomas is a myth. Never realised it. Christianity came to India via Portugese Vasco Da Gama.

ಸೂಡಾನ್ನಲ್ಲಿನ ಬರದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಯಾವುದಾದರೂ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಚಿತ್ರಗಳಿವೆಯೇ ಎಂದು ಶೋಧಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಅಮೆರಿಕದ ‘ನೂಯಾರ್ಕ್ ಟೈಮ್ಸ್’ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಯ ಕಣ್ಣಿಗೆ ಬಿತ್ತು ಕಾರ್ಟರ್ನ ಚಿತ್ರ. ಕೂಡಲೇ ಕಾರ್ಟರ್ನಿಂದ ಫೋಟೋವನ್ನು ಖರೀದಿ ಮಾಡಿದ ನೂಯಾರ್ಕ್ ಟೈಮ್ಸ್ ೧೯೯೩, ಮಾರ್ಚ್ ೨೬ರ ತನ್ನ ಸಂಚಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸಿತು. ಇದ್ದಕ್ಕಿದ್ದಂತೆಯೇ ಆ ಚಿತ್ರ ಜಗತ್ತಿನ ಗಮನ ಸೆಳೆಯಿತು. ಕಾರ್ಟರ್ ಬೆಳಗಾಗುವಷ್ಟರಲ್ಲಿ ಜಗತ್ತಿನ ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ಫೋಟೋಗ್ರಾಫರ್ ಆಗಿದ್ದ. ಆ ಚಿತ್ರವಂತೂ ಆಫ್ರಿಕಾದ ವೇದನೆಯ ಸಂಕೇತವಾಗಿ ಬಿಟ್ಟಿತು. ಕಾರ್ಟರ್ಗೆ ತಿಂಗಳಿಗೆ 2 ಸಾವಿರ ಡಾಲರ್ ನೀಡುವುದಾಗಿ ‘ರಾಯಿಟರ್ಸ್’ ಏಜೆನ್ಸಿ ಹೊಸ ಕೆಲಸ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿತು. ಆತನ ಫೋಟೋವನ್ನು ಜಗತ್ತಿನ ಬಹಳಷ್ಟು ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಗಳು ಮರುಪ್ರಕಟ ಮಾಡಿದವು. ಹೀಗೆ ಹೀರೋ ಆದ ಕೆವಿನ್ ಕಾರ್ಟರ್ಗೆ ಪುಲಿಟ್ಜರ್ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಯೂ ಬಂತು. ಅಮೆರಿಕದ ಕೊಲಂಬಿಯಾ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಆವರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಭವ್ಯ ಸಮಾರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ಪಡೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಖುಷಿಯಿಂದ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಆಫ್ರಿಕಾಕ್ಕೆ ವಾಪಸ್ಸಾದ ಕೆವಿನ್ ಕಾರ್ಟರ್, ಅದೇಕೋ ಖಿನ್ನನಾಗ ತೊಡಗಿದ. ಅಂದು ನ್ಯೂಯಾರ್ಕ್ ಟೈಮ್ಸ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಫೋಟೋ ಪ್ರಕಟವಾದ ನಂತರ ಪತ್ರಿಕಾ ಕಚೇರಿಗೆ ಸಾವಿರಾರು ಪತ್ರಗಳು ಬರ ಲಾರಂಭಿಸಿದವು.
ಎಲ್ಲರದ್ದೂ ಒಂದೇ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆ- ಆ ಮಗುವೇನಾಯಿತು? ಗಂಜಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರವನ್ನು ತಲುಪಿತೇ? ಇನ್ನೂ ಬದುಕಿದೆಯೇ?
ಫೋಟೋ ತೆಗೆದ ಕೆವಿನ್ ಕಾರ್ಟರ್ಗೇ ಮಗು ಏನಾಯಿತು ಎಂಬುದು ತಿಳಿದಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ! ಫೋಟೋ ತೆಗೆದ ನಂತರ ಹದ್ದನ್ನು ಓಡಿಸಿ, ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಚಿತ್ರವನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದ್ದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಮನದಲ್ಲೇ ಧನ್ಯವಾದ ಹೇಳಿ ಸಿಗರೇಟು ಹಚ್ಚಿಕೊಂಡು ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಮುಂದೆ ಸಾಗಿದ್ದ!!
ಒಬ್ಬ ಫೋಟೋ ಜರ್ನಲಿಸ್ಟ್ನ ಕೆಲಸ ಫೋಟೋ ವನ್ನಷ್ಟೇ ತೆಗೆಯುವುದೇ? ಅಥವಾ ಆತನಿಗೂ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಗಳಿವೆಯೇ? ಅಂದು ಜಗತ್ತಿನಾದ್ಯಂತ ಇಂತಹ ಚರ್ಚೆಯೇ ಆರಂಭವಾಗಿಬಿಟ್ಟಿತು. ಕಾರ್ಟರ್ನ ನಡತೆಯನ್ನೇ ಪ್ರಶ್ನಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. “ಆ ಮಗುವಿನ ಯಾತನೆಯನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಕ್ಯಾಮೆರಾ ಕಣ್ಣಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸೆರೆ ಹಿಡಿಯಲು ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದವನೂ ಕೂಡ ಒಬ್ಬ ರಣಹದ್ದೇ ಆಗಿದ್ದ” ಎಂದು ಫ್ಲೋರಿಡಾ ಟೈಮ್ಸ್ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆ ಟೀಕಿಸಿತು. ಕಾರ್ಟರ್ ಕುಗ್ಗಿಹೋದ. ಪಾಪಪ್ರe ಕಾಡತೊಡಗಿತು.
ಮೂವತ್ಮೂರು ವರ್ಷದ ಕಾರ್ಟರ್ ತಾನೆಸಗಿದ ತಪ್ಪಿನ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಎಷ್ಟು ನೊಂದುಕೊಂಡನೆಂದರೆ 1994, ಜುಲೈ 27ರಂದು ಬದುಕಿಗೇ ತೆರೆ ಎಳೆದುಕೊಂಡ. ಬಾಲ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕಳೆದಿದ್ದ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲೇ ಆತ್ಮಹತ್ಯೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ. ಆತನ ಆತ್ಮಹತ್ಯೆ ಒಬ್ಬ ಪತ್ರಕರ್ತ ನಿಗೂ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಗಳಿವೆ ಎಂಬುದಕ್ಕೆ ದ್ಯೋತಕ ವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಇಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ವಾದಿಸುವವರು ವಾದಿಸಲಿ ಬಿಡಿ, ಆದರೆ ನೈತಿಕತೆ ಪ್ರe, ಅನುಕಂಪ ಇರುವ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಗಳಿರುತ್ತವೆ.
ಮೊನ್ನೆ ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಪಬ್ ಮೇಲೆ ಶ್ರೀರಾಮ ಸೇನೆಯವರು ನಡೆಸಿದ ದಾಳಿಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಆಳುವ ಸರಕಾರ ಹಾಗೂ ಪೊಲೀಸರನ್ನು ತರಾಟೆಗೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡ ಪತ್ರಕರ್ತರಿಗೆ ಮರು ಸವಾಲು ಹಾಕಿದ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಮಹಾನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ಶ್ರೀಕುಮಾರ್, “ಹದಿನೈದು ನಿಮಿಷ ಮೊದಲೇ ನಿಮಗೆ ದಾಳಿಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಸುದ್ದಿ ಗೊತ್ತಿತ್ತು. ನೀವೇಕೆ ಪೊಲೀಸರಿಗೆ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಲಿಲ್ಲ?” ಎಂದು ಪ್ರಶ್ನಿಸಿದರು.
ಪತ್ರಕರ್ತರೇ ತೆಪ್ಪಗಾಗಬೇಕಾಯಿತು.
ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಷ್, ಹಿಂದಿಯಂತೆ ಕನ್ನಡದಲ್ಲೂ ಅಗತ್ಯ ಮೀರಿ 24X7 ಚಾನೆಲ್ಗಳು ಬಂದ ನಂತರ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಸುದ್ದಿಯ ಹಸಿವು ಆರಂಭವಾಗಿದೆ. ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಂತೂ ಚಾನೆಲ್ಗಳ ಒಂದೊಂದು ಬಣಗಳೇ ಇವೆ. ಒಬ್ಬರಿಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಾದರೆ ಆ ಬಣ ದಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ರವಾನೆಯಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಮೊನ್ನೆ ಆಗಿದ್ದೂ ಅದೇ. ಅಮ್ನೇಶಿಯಾ ಪಬ್ ಮೇಲೆ ದಾಳಿ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇವೆ ಎಂದು ಶ್ರೀರಾಮ ಸೇನೆ ನೀಡಿದ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಕ್ಷಣಮಾತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಎಲ್ಲ ಚಾನೆಲ್ಗಳಿಗೂ ಗೊತ್ತಾಯಿತು. ಅಂತಾರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಮಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಹುಸಂಖ್ಯಾತರ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಹುಸಿ ಪ್ರಚಾರಾಂದೋಲನ ಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕೆಂದೇ ಜನ್ಮತಳೆದಂತೆ ವರ್ತಿಸುವ ‘ದಾಯ್ಜಿ ವರ್ಲ್ಡ್’ ಎಂಬ ವೆಬ್ಸೈಟ್ನ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗಳೂ ಓಡಿಬಂದರು.
ಆದರೆ ಎಲ್ಲಿ ಸುದ್ದಿ ತಪ್ಪಿಹೋಗುತ್ತದೋ ಎಂಬ ಆತಂಕದಿಂದ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಪಬ್ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋದರೇ ಹೊರತು ಯಾರಿಗೂ ಜವಾ ಬ್ದಾರಿಯ ನೆನಪಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ, ವರದಿ ಮಾಡುವುದಷ್ಟೇ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿ ಎನ್ನುವುದಾದರೆ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳು ವರದಿಯನ್ನಷ್ಟೇ ಮಾಡಬೇಕಿತ್ತು.
ಆದರೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇನು?
ಪೊಲೀಸರಿಗೆ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡದೆ ಕ್ಯಾಮೆರಾ ಕೈಗೆತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದು ಶ್ರೀರಾಮ ಸೇನೆಯ ಪುಂಡಾಟಿಕೆಗೆ ಪ್ರಚಾರ ನೀಡಿದ್ದೂ ಇವರೇ, ಕೊನೆಗೆ ನೈತಿಕತೆಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಪಾಠ ಹೇಳಲು, ‘ಹಿಂದೂ ತಾಲಿಬಾನ್’ ಎಂದು ತೀರ್ಪು ಕೊಡಲು ಮುಂದಾಗಿದ್ದೂ ಇವರೇ!
ಪ್ರಚಾರಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳನ್ನು ಬಳಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಕೆಟ್ಟ ಚಾಳಿ ಯನ್ನು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಆರಂಭಿಸಿದ್ದು ಮಾಜಿ ಲೋಕಾಯುಕ್ತ ನ್ಯಾಯಮೂರ್ತಿ ವೆಂಕಟಾಚಲ!
ಭ್ರಷ್ಟ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳ ಮನೆ, ಕಚೇರಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ದಾಳಿ ಮಾಡುವ ಹಕ್ಕು ಲೋಕಾಯುಕ್ತಕ್ಕಿದ್ದರೂ ಆ ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನು ಉಪಲೋಕಾ ಯುಕ್ತರು ಹಾಗೂ ಇತರ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಮಾಡಬೇಕೇ ಹೊರತು ಮುಖ್ಯ ಲೋಕಾಯುಕ್ತರು ಆ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ಹುಟ್ಟು ಪ್ರಚಾರಪ್ರಿಯರಾಗಿದ್ದ ವೆಂಕಟಾಚಲ ಅವರು ಸ್ವತಃ ದಾಳಿಗೆ ಹೊರಟರು. ಹೊರಟಿದ್ದೂ ತಪ್ಪಾಗಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಇಂತಹ ಕಡೆ ದಾಳಿ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇವೆ ಎಂದು ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳನ್ನೂ ಜತೆಗೆ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಲಾರಂಭಿಸಿದರು. ಬೇಟೆಯಾಡಿದ ನಂತರ ವಶಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ದುಡ್ಡು-ಕಾಸು, ಆಭರಣಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಂದಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡು, ಎದುರಿಗೆ ಭ್ರಷ್ಟ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಯನ್ನೂ ಕೂರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು, ‘ಏನಯ್ಯಾ ಇಷ್ಟೆಲ್ಲಾ ದುಡ್ಡನ್ನು ಹೇಗೆ ನುಂಗಿದೆ? ಸರಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಮೋಸ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದೀಯಲ್ಲಾ ನಿನಗೆ ನಾಚಿಕೆಯಾಗು ವುದಿಲ್ಲವೆ? ಜನರಿಗೆ ದ್ರೋಹವೆಸಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದೀಯಲ್ಲಾ ಹೊಟ್ಟೆಗೆ ಏನು ತಿನ್ನುತ್ತೀಯಾ?’- ಇನ್ನು ಮುಂತಾದ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಬಹಳ ಜೋಶ್ ಆಗಿ ಕೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು, ನೆರೆದವರು ಚಪ್ಪಾಳೆ ತಟ್ಟುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು, ಚಾನೆಲ್ಗಳಿಗಂತೂ ಭರಪೂರ ಭೋಜನ!
ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಳಿತು ನೋಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದವರ ಮನದಲ್ಲಂತೂ ‘ನ್ಯಾ.ವೆಂಕಟಾಚಲ ಅಂದ್ರೆ ಮೈಸೂರು ಹುಲಿ ಟಿಪ್ಪುಗಿಂತ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಹುಲಿ ಬಿಡಪ್ಪಾ’ ಎಂಬ ಧನ್ಯತಾ ಭಾವನೆ. ಹಾಗೆ ಜನ ಕಣ್ಣುಮಿಟುಕಿಸದೇ ಟಿವಿ ನೋಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಚಾನೆಲ್ಗಳ ‘ಟಿಆರ್ಪಿ’ ಕೂಡ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಜಾಹೀರಾತು ಕಬಳಿಸಲು ಅನುಕೂಲವಾಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತು. ಆದರೆ ವಾಸ್ತವದಲ್ಲಿ ನ್ಯಾ. ವೆಂಕಟಾಚಲ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಚಾರ, ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳಿಗೆ ಆಹಾರ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದ್ದು ಬಿಟ್ಟರೆ ಬೇರಾವ ಸಾಧನೆಯೂ ಆಗಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಅಷ್ಟಕ್ಕೂ ಲೋಕಾಯುಕ್ತಕ್ಕೆ ಕಳ್ಳರನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿಯುವ ಅಧಿಕಾರವಿದೆಯೇ ಹೊರತು, ಶಿಕ್ಷಿಸುವ ಹಕ್ಕಿಲ್ಲ. ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ, ವೆಂಕಟಾಚಲ ಅವರಿಗೆ ನಿಜವಾಗಿಯೂ ಕಾಳಜಿ ಇದ್ದಿದ್ದರೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರಾವಧಿ ಮುಗಿದ ನಂತರ ತಮ್ಮ ಜನಪ್ರಿಯತೆಯನ್ನು ಉಪಯೋಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಲೋಕಾಯುಕ್ತಕ್ಕೆ ಶಿಕ್ಷಿಸುವ ಅಧಿಕಾರವನ್ನೂ ನೀಡಿ ಎಂದು ಜನಾಂದೋಲನ ರೂಪಿಸಬಹುದಿತ್ತು. ಅಂತಹ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯ, ಜನಪ್ರಿಯತೆ ಅಯಾಚಿತವಾಗಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಬಂದಿತ್ತು. ಇವತ್ತು ಹಾಲಿ ಲೋಕಾಯುಕ್ತರಾದ ನ್ಯಾ. ಸಂತೋಷ್ ಹೆಗ್ಡೆ ಅವರು ನ್ಯಾ.ವೆಂಕಟಾಚಲ ಅವರಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಆದರೆ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳ ಮುಂದೆ ಭ್ರಷ್ಟ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕೂರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಧರ್ಮಬೋಧೆ ಮಾಡಿ, ಪ್ರಚಾರ ಪಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ ಅಷ್ಟೇ.
ಇಲ್ಲಿ ನ್ಯಾ.ವೆಂಕಟಾಚಲ ಅವರನ್ನು ತೆಗಳುವುದು ಮುಖ್ಯ ಉದ್ದೇಶವಲ್ಲ, ಉದ್ದೇಶ ಶುದ್ದಿ ಇಲ್ಲದವರಿಂದ ಆಗುವ ಅನಾಹುತ ಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಅರಿವು ಮೂಡಿಸುವುದು.
ಹೀಗೆ ನ್ಯಾ.ವೆಂಕಟಾಚಲ ಅವರು ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳಿಗೆ ಬಿಸ್ಕತ್ತು ಹಾಕುವುದನ್ನು ಆರಂಭಿಸಿದರು. ಮುಂದೆ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳಲ್ಲಿನ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ನಿರ್ಮಾಪಕರೇ ಸ್ವಂತ ವಿವೇಕವಿಲ್ಲದವರಿಗೆ ಬಿಸ್ಕತ್ತು ಹಾಕಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಬೇಳೆ ಬೇಯಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಆರಂಭಿಸಿದರು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ಉದಾಹರಣೆಯೆಂದರೆ ಹುಬ್ಬಳ್ಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಟ್ಯೂಶನ್ ಹೇಳಿಕೊಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸಕರೊಬ್ಬರ ಮೇಲೆ ನಡೆದ ಹಲ್ಲೆ, ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಕೆ.ಸಿ. ಜನರಲ್ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ನಡೆದ ದಾಳಿ. ಠುಸ್ ಬಾಂಬ್ ಇಟ್ಟು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರತ್ನವಾಗಿದ್ದ ಗಿರೀಶ್ ಮಟ್ಟಣ್ಣವರ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ಛೂ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಈ ಎರಡೂ ದಾಳಿಯನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಿದ್ದು ‘ಕ್ರೈಮ್ ಡೈರಿ’ಯವರು. ‘ಕ್ರೈಮ್ ಡೈರಿ’ಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಎಪಿಸೋಡ್ಗಳು ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದವು, ನಿರ್ಮಾಪಕನ ಕಿಸೆಯೂ ತುಂಬಿತು. ಆದರೆ ಮಂಗನಾಗಿದ್ದು ಮಾತ್ರ ಮಟ್ಟಣ್ಣ.
ಆನಂತರ ನಡೆದ ಮಂಚನಬೆಲೆ ಪ್ರಕರಣ, ಮೊನ್ನೆ ನಡೆದ ಪಬ್ ಮೇಲಿನ ದಾಳಿ ಮುಂತಾದುವುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೂಲಂಕಷವಾಗಿ ಗಮನಿಸಿದಾಗ, ಕೆಲವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಪುಂಡಾಟಿಕೆಯ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನ, ಪ್ರಚಾರದ ಗೀಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳನ್ನು ಬಳಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು, ತಾಳಕ್ಕೆ ತಕ್ಕಂತೆ ಕುಣಿಯುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳೂ ತಮ್ಮ ಸುದ್ದಿಯ ಹಸಿವನ್ನು ನೀಗಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು ಹೀಗೆ ಸರದಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಒಬ್ಬರನ್ನೊಬ್ಬರು ಬಳಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ಕಂಡು ಬರುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಚಾನೆಲ್ಗಳು ಜತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋಗದಿದ್ದರೆ, ಪ್ರಚಾರ ಸಿಕ್ಕುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂಬ ಕಾರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಶ್ರೀರಾಮ ಸೇನೆಯ ಪುಂಡರು ಪಬ್ ಮೇಲೆ ದಾಳಿ ಮಾಡದೇ ಇರುವ ಸಾಧ್ಯತೆಯೂ ಇತ್ತು. ಅಕಸ್ಮಾತ್ ದಾಳಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರೂ ಮೊದಲೇ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದರೆ ಪೊಲೀಸರು ತಕ್ಕಪಾಠ ಕಲಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಇದು, ಶ್ರೀರಾಮ ಸೇನೆಯ ಪುಂಡರಿಂದ ಹೊಡೆತ ತಿಂದ ಯುವತಿಯರು ಕೆಳಗೆ ಬಿದ್ದ ದೃಶ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಪದೇ ಪದೆ ತೋರಿಸುತ್ತಾ ನೈತಿಕ ಕ್ರೌರ್ಯದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡುವ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳಿಗೆ ಆ ಕ್ರೌರ್ಯ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನದಲ್ಲಿ ತಮ್ಮದೂ ಪಾಲಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಅರ್ಥವಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೆ? ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ, ಪೊಲೀಸರನ್ನು ಮೊದಲೇ ಎಚ್ಚರಿಸಿದರೆ ಆ ಯುವತಿಯರಿಗೆ ಬಿದ್ದ ಹೊಡೆತ, ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ಅವಮಾನವನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಬಹುದಿತ್ತಲ್ಲವೆ?
ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಷ್ ಚಾನೆಲ್ಗಳಿಗೆ “””Nation Outraged”, “”National Shame”, “”Mangalore: The South Taliban’” ಎಂದು ಬೊಬ್ಬೆ ಹಾಕಲು, ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಸುದ್ದಿಯಾಗಿಸಲು, ದುಬೈ ಜೈಲಿನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಪ್ರಸಾದ್ ಬಿದ್ದಪ್ಪ ಅವರಂತಹ ಮಾದಕವಸ್ತು ವ್ಯಸನಿಗಳಿಂದ ನೈತಿಕ ಪಾಠ ಹೇಳಿಸಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗುತ್ತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
ಗುಜರಾತ್ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ನರೇಂದ್ರ ಮೋದಿಯವರು ಹೇಳುವಂತೆ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳು ಸುದ್ದಿಯನ್ನು ಬಿತ್ತರಿಸುವ ಬದಲು, “News Manufacturers” ಹಾಗೂ “News Traders” ಆಗಿವೆ. ಅವುಗಳ ಸುದ್ದಿಯ ಹಿಂದೆಯೂ ಮಾರ್ಕೆಟಿಂಗ್ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಪಾತ್ರ ವಹಿಸಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ಕಳೆದ ವಾರ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಗೃಹಿಣಿಯರ ಸರಣಿ ಹತ್ಯೆಗಳಾದವು, ಒಬ್ಬ ಕುಡುಕನಂತೂ ನಾಲ್ವರು ಪಾದಚಾರಿಗಳನ್ನೇ ಬಲಿತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡ. ಆ ಸುದ್ದಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕ ಪ್ರಾಮುಖ್ಯತೆಗೂ ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಪಬ್ ದಾಳಿಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕ ಪ್ರಚಾರಕ್ಕೂ ಹೋಲಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಿ. ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಘಟನೆ ಘಟಿಸಿ ನಾಲ್ಕು ದಿನ ಕಳೆದರೂ ಮುಖ್ಯ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಸುದ್ದಿಯಾಗಿ ಬಿತ್ತರವಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ‘ಪ್ರೈಮ್ ಟೈಮ್’ ವಾರ್ತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ದೊಡ್ಡ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಚರ್ಚೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಗ್ರಾಸವಾಗಿದೆ. ಬಾಲಿವುಡ್ ನಟ ರಾಹುಲ್ ಬೋಸ್ ಅವರಂತೂ ಇಂತಹ ಘಟನೆಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ನಾಗರಿಕ ಚಳವಳಿ ನಡೆಯಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಕರೆ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ, ಮಹಿಳಾ ಆಯೋಗ ಕೂಡ ಆಗಮಿಸಿದೆ. ಐವರು ಗೃಹಿಣಿಯರು, ನಾಲ್ವರು ಪಾದಚಾರಿಗಳು ಕೊಲೆಯಾದ ಘಟನೆ ಸಾಯಂಕಾಲದ ವಾರ್ತೆಯ ಹೊತ್ತಿಗೇ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳಿಗೆ ಮರೆತುಹೋಗಿತ್ತು!
ಆದರೆ ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಘಟನೆ?

ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಘಟನೆಗೆ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳೇ ಕಾರಣ ಎಂದು ಟಿವಿ ಚಾನೆಲ್ಗಳನ್ನು ಕಟಕಟಗೆ ತಂದು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸುವುದು ಇಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶವಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳಲ್ಲಿರುವ ನಮ್ಮ ಉದ್ದೇಶ ಶುದ್ಧಿಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಇದೊಂದು ಜಿeಸೆಯಷ್ಟೇ.
ಅಂದಮಾತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರಮೋದ್ ಮುತಾಲಿಕ್ ಅವರೇನು ಸಾಚಾ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಬಣಕ್ಕೆ ‘ಶ್ರೀರಾಮ ಸೇನೆ’ ಎಂಬ ಹೆಸರಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡಿರುವುದೇ, ಆ ಮರ್ಯಾದಾ ಪುರುಷೋತ್ತಮ ರಾಮನಿಗೆ ಬಗೆದ ಮಹಾದ್ರೋಹ. ಪಬ್ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡುವ ಮೊದಲು ತಮ್ಮ ಅನು ಯಾಯಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾರ್ಯಾರು ಕುಡಿದು ತೂರಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ಅನುಚಿತವಾಗಿ ವರ್ತಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಮುತಾಲಿಕ್ ಕುಳಿತು ಲೆಕ್ಕಹಾಕುವುದೊಳಿತು! ಇನ್ನು ಭಾರತೀಯ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ, ಮಾತೆಯರು, ಸೋದರಿಯರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಇವರಿಗೆ ಅಷ್ಟೊಂದು ಕಾಳಜಿ ಇದ್ದರೆ ಹೆಣ್ಣು ಭ್ರೂಣ ಹತ್ಯೆ, ಬಲವಂತದ ವೇಶ್ಯಾವಾಟಿಕೆ, ವರದಕ್ಷಿಣಿ ಕಿರುಕುಳದ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಹೋರಾಟ ಮಾಡಲಿ ನೋಡೋಣ. ಚಾನೆಲ್ಗಳನ್ನು ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿ ಕ್ಯಾಮೆರಾಗಳ ಮುಂದೆ ಪೌರುಷ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನವೇಕೆ? ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ, ಪಬ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಅನೈತಿಕ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದೆ ಎಂದಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ಪಬ್ ಮುಂದೆ ಧರಣಿ ನಡೆಸಬಹುದಿತ್ತು, ಪರ ವಾನಗಿ ರದ್ದುಪಡಿಸುವಂತೆ ಒತ್ತಾಯಿಸಬಹುದಿತ್ತು. ಮನ ಸೋಯಿಚ್ಛೆ ಹೊಡೆಯಲು ಇವರಿಗೆ ‘ನೈತಿಕ ಪೊಲೀಸ’ನ ಕೆಲಸ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿರುವುದಾದರೂ ಯಾರು? ‘ನೈತಿಕತೆ’ ಅಂದ್ರೆ ಏನು ಎಂಬು ದನ್ನೇ ‘ಮರು ವ್ಯಾಖ್ಯಾನ’ ಮಾಡಬೇಕಾದ ಕಾಲ ಈಗ ಬಂದಿದೆ.
ಇವತ್ತು ಸಿದ್ಧರಾಮಯ್ಯನವರು ‘ಕುರುಬರಿಗೆ ಅನ್ಯಾಯ ವಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ’ ಎಂದರೆ ‘ತನಗೆ ಅನ್ಯಾಯವಾಗಿದೆ’ ಎಂದು ಅರ್ಥ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ‘ಭಾರತೀಯ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿ ಹಾಳಾ ಗುತ್ತಿದೆ’ ಎಂದು ಮುತಾಲಿಕ್ ಬೊಬ್ಬೆ ಹಾಕಿದರೆ, ‘ಅವರಿಗೆ ಯಾರೂ ಕಿಮ್ಮತ್ತು ಕೊಡುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ’ ಎಂದರ್ಥ. ಹಿಂದುತ್ವದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಎಷ್ಟೇ ಜೋರಾಗಿ ಕಿರುಚಿಕೊಂಡರೂ ಮುತಾಲಿಕ್ಗೆ ಮೊದಲಿನಿಂದಲೂ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಮಹತ್ವಾಕಾಂಕ್ಷೆಗಳಿದ್ದವು. 2004ರ ಚುನಾವಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ಟಿಕೆಟ್ಗಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸಿ ನಿರಾಸೆಗೊಂಡ ಮುತಾಲಿಕ್, 2005ರಲ್ಲಿ ಭಜರಂಗ ದಳವನ್ನೇ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹೊರಬಂದರು, ಶಿವಸೇನೆ ಕಟ್ಟಿ ಇಕ್ಕಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದರು. ಕೊನೆಗೆ ಶ್ರೀರಾಮ ಸೇನೆ ಎಂದು ಹೆಸರು ಬದಲಾಯಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರು. ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಕನ್ನಡದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಜರಂಗದಳ ತುಂಬ ಬಲಿಷ್ಠವಾಗಿದೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಹೆಸರೂ ಇದೆ. ಏನಾದರೂ ಮಾಡಿ ಭಜರಂಗ ದಳವನ್ನು ಮೀರಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ಹೊರಟ ಪುಂಡರು ಮಾಡಿದ ಪ್ರಚಾರತಂತ್ರವೇ ಪಬ್ ಮೇಲಿನ ದಾಳಿ. ಇವರಿಂದಾಗಿ ಹಿಂದುತ್ವ ಹಾಗೂ ಭಾರತೀಯ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಯ ಸಂರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ನಿಜವಾಗಿಯೂ ಕಾಳಜಿ ಹೊಂದಿರುವವರಿಗೆ ಕೆಟ್ಟ ಹೆಸರು ಬಂತು, ಇಡೀ ಬಲಪಂಥೀಯರು ದೂಷಣೆಗೆ ಒಳಗಾಗಬೇಕಾಗಿ ಬಂತು ಅಷ್ಟೇ.

The question here is not lesser god, rather exploring ‘True God’…And on that pursuit, using a Gandhi or any human to give witness/reference defeats the purpose of definition of God, who is believed to of All Powerful,with Absolute holiness and Righteousness in nature..
If you think hindu gods are wetted/approved by Gandhiji, then you need to re-defined your idea of god.. Why not make Gandhi also a god?

I have a strong hunch it was a joint effort of the Pub owners and Mr M uthalik to garner cheap publicity. The incident happened with prior information of the Pub owners who called media to witness and carry pictures. It was like a reality show. If they wanted to avoid the violence,they should had informed Police. But No,The media wanted their bytes to increase their TRP.
A much ghastlier action is going on in Kolkata for last whole week. No media except the victim “The Statesman” neswpaper has covered it.

Bible was written by constantine and his gang in 4th century. After re-editing (some of the stuff was copied from pagan religions) the 4 gospels, he ordered his soldiers to detroy pagan evidence. They destroyed pagan temples, libraries and everything that was related to pagans.
