Chapter 5: THE MAIN HINDU COMPLAINT AGAINST INDIAN / FOREIGN MEDIA
The main complaint that Hindus have against the media is that they are lumping peaceful Sanatana Dharma (Hinduism) along with killer cults like Islam and Christianity.
Whenever any riots take place, the media takes extra care to ensure that Hindus are shown in poor light. This is unfair because communal riots mainly take place because of the Abrahamic faith anxiety to spread their faith with force.
Remember, Hindus don’t convert. Hindus respect Swadharma (the freedom to be). It is Islam and Christianity which forces faith down our throats.
Hindus allow people to be as they are without converting others. Despite this peaceful gesture by Hindus, the media projects Hindus on par with Christian and islamic fundamentalists.
It is very clear that terror has no saction in Hinduism unlike Islam and Christianity — which are quite explicit in their convert or kill agenda. Everybody knows that these aggressive Abrahamic faith spread with sword in one hand and the book in the other.
Unlike this, Hinduism never required a sword. It allowed people to be as they are. Hinduism is not a killer cult like Islam and Christianity which forces itself on others. Hinduism is compatible with a peaceful modern life. Hinduism does not dictate. It is a way of life where you can be yourself without imposing yourself on others.
This is what the Indian media fails to understand and communicate about Hinduism. And Hindus (especially a English educated Hindu like me) will protest with gutso anytime and anyday the media gives us a bad press.

Years of brainwashing by enemies of Islam have poisoned the peoples` mind. These enemies have done a great disservice to the mankind. May I request these Islam haters to understand the meaning of Jihad, which does not mean just killing of infidels, as they have learned. Jihad of course includes countering aggression for self defense. Jihad means striving or struggling to purify one’s inner self. I suggest you to go to web sites like Islam today or Islam on line to find the correct and authentic meaning of the word Jihad. If you want to learn Islam, learn it from the sources, which are Quran and Hadith, meaning the Prophetic tradition and practices. Once you understand the true meaning of Jihad, learn the Islamic Rules of War in Islam again from its original sources. Getting information from its enemies will definitely misguide you. Instead of going through out-of-context and partial quotations given by mischief making people, take some time to go through the beauty of Quran by reading the translation by Abdullah Yusuf Ali or Pikthal. Do you know the circumstances that led Pikthal to revert to Islam? I leave this matter for you to find out! He was a British Christian who did an English translation of Holy Quran. Cat Stevens, now Yousuf Islam (mountainoflight.co.uk), a former British Pop musician, Evon Ridley, a British journalist, Maurice Bukai, a French Scientist (author of Bible, Quran and Science), Ali Ezzat Begovich, of Bosnia, Cacius Clay, the world boxing champion, Abdulla Adiyar, Tamil literary figure, Kamala Das(late kamala Surayya), noted Indian poet in English and nobel prize nominee, are a few prominent names who embraced Islam not at gun point but out of strong conviction. Had Islam been a religion of killers, they would not have embraced same. There were no people at that time to talk about Love Jihad or Romeo Jihad as our Sangh Pariwar brothers in India.
Unfortunately, many Muslims as well as non Muslims are not aware of shariah according to which Muslims are expected to live. Some Hindus ask Muslims to go to Pakistan to live under shariah. It must be understood that the Indian Muslims opted to stay in India because they did not want Pakistan. If one reads our correct history, it will be seen that Pakistan was imposed on them by some of our Hindu leaders. Read the book by the recently ousted BJP leader (the former foreign minister). India is a Hindu majority country – no argument over this. But this is a secular country, where all people are expected to live in harmony with peaceful coexistence. Our country is already divided into India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. Divisive tendencies do not augur well for the country. Do not hate Islam. It advocates peace. Do not be under the impression that the killings in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iraq are the mischief of Islam. I do not want to elaborate. Nothing was heard about Afghanistan before 9/11.
It is sad that the filthy language some writers here use does not add glory to their culture, of which they should naturally be proud of.
Islam does not mean killing people. It means perfect submission to the will of Allah, the Only God, the Most Merciful, the Beneficent. It also means peace. It promotes virtue and prevents vice. It abhors extremism. Islam is a mid path. “There is no compulsion in faith” declares Quran. Quran advises mankind to be on our guard against aggression. I am sure many of the writers here have not gone through Quran and what Prophet (PBUH) has taught mankind. It is unfortunate that the media which is inimical to Islam supported by the western white people who through their mighty secret services have worked havoc by projecting Islam and identifying it with terror. And many disgruntled elements in its fold too do things that send a wrong message to the non Muslims. So I do not like to blame these writers for expressing their indignation. But one has to cool down and think for some time: Muslims ruled India for centuries. Had they been cruel as are projected here and had they spread Islam by sword, the majority of India would have been Muslim. The Sangh Pariwar has been vowing to turn Kerala into Gujarat. In spite of putting in a lot of efforts in this direction, they failed to open an account in Kerala. If at any time one goes to the Muslim majority district of Kerala, you will find Hindus and Muslims eat from the same plate, live in perfect communal harmony. But Sangh Pariwar is doing its best to disturb the communal harmony there through media publicity in this direction. The Pariwar had only two seats earlier in the Parliament. They increased their strength by spreading communal venom through their masjid-mandir strategy. I believe some innocent few Hindus people were poisoned by such nasty tricks. Did you ever hear any killing of a Hindu by a Muslim in communal clash in that Muslim majority district? If Muslims are killers, just tell me how many Hindus were killed in the whole of Muslim world during the last two decades. You also try to find out how many Muslims were killed in India alone during the same period. If you are a serious seeker of truth, find out how many Hindus from the state of Modi are working in Muslim countries drawing huge salaries. You also have to know that Muslim countries employ Indians irrespective of their religious backgrounds. Please also note that I discuss this only to give you an idea that Muslims are not that bad as you suggest.
Quran tells mankind to promote virtue and prevent vice, respect elders and to be kind to parents, be good with neighbors, to give alms to the needy, poor, wayfarer. It orders people at war to take care of women, children and old people and their cultivation and plantations.
The irreparable harm that Sangh Pariwar and the media did to malign the face of Islam has far reaching impact in our society. It has resulted not only in weakening the Muslim community but also our entire nation. By demoralizing Indian Muslims numbering fourteen crores which represent the second world’s largest Islamic presence only after Indoneisa, the Sangh Pariwar is drawing our country a lot backward, weakening our ability to face the challenges that stare our country. Let us strive hard (in Islamic terminology, let us do Jihad) to make a strong India. We have a lot of problems: naxalite menace, caused by oppression of the haves on the have-nots, regionalism, communalism, immorality, cross border terrorism, separatist tendencies. Remember thousands of miles of our mother land are in the hands of China since nineteen sixty one! We have to promote unity in diversity, instead of slinging mud at each other. Let us understand each other. Let Sangh Pariwar gain strength not by fanning communal passions but by teaching the glory of Bharatwarsha.

Dear Mr Pullissery Hamza,
Good effort in trying to project the “peaceful” side of your religion. Instead of trying to preach it to peace loving and tolerant Hindus, I guess you should start preaching ”peaceful” side of your religion to your own people for they, as it is more than evident from the violence originated by the people of your religion , do not seem to understand the very tenets of their own ”peaceful” religion !!!!
Sir, I wish you all the very best for your efforts in trying to do so for you might need more than your life time to carry out this futile effort!!!!!!
