SWOT Analysis of RSS: Opportunities
The opportunities for RSS is unlimited for the simple reason that they are a monopoly.
It is humanly impossible to create another RSS for Hindu society.
However, it is also possible that Hindu Rashtra will make RSS redundant. As Hedgewar himself wanted RSS to be disbanded on the creation of Hindu Rashtra.
By now, RSS (BJP) should have been in power. But the secularists in BJP like Pramod Mahajan, Hajpayee and Advani botched the chances by speaking the secular language once in power.
The RSS also lost credibility by supporting the inept BJP. If the Sangh Parivar holds on to Hindutva, it has a good future.. If not, it is bound to go down the drain.
Let me take the example of Gujarat, it was not RSS but the common Hindu who moved out — no doubt aided by the irrepressible Narendra Modi. If there are more Hindu leaders who can take things head on and if the Hindu awareness increases, there would not be any need for any organisation like the RSS.
However, that would be an ideal choice when organisations could become redundant.
As of now with Jehadi/evangelical/Naxal terror is on the rise, we do need an organisation and RSS is the strongest among them all. So this strength will take RSS through. RSS will thrive as long as there will be trouble in society.
Only an orderly society can throw RSS out of business. That sounds tough. If the situation remains as it is, RSS is in monopoly. Of course, the Sonia-led-UPA will continue to trouble and target RSS… but it won’t make much of a difference because there is only one RSS in Hindu society. And the RSS has seen through several bans. More bans will only make the RSS more popular.
SO OPPORTUNITIES ARE UNLIMITED.
