Understanding the raids on Asaram Ashram
Fortunately or unfortunately, the raid on Asaram Bapu’s Ashram was conducted by the staunchly Hindu Gujarat Government under the stewardship of Narendra Modi.
I spoke to both Asaram devotees as well as those close to the Gujarat Chief Minister.
While the devotees told me that the Police chief who conducted the raids was a Muzzi and was bribed by forces inimical to Asaram, those close to the Gujarat CM told me that they had no option but to allow the raids since Asaram devotees had been encroaching into domains that were not their cup of tea.
Asaram has a powerful BJP devotee in Advani. Initially, Modi kept quiet since disturbing Asaram meant disturbing Advani. In the end, Modi had no option but to allow the raids.
“It is best to avoid business deals while conducting spirituality”, those close to the CM told me. “Although we are staunch Hindus, we cannot allow the degradation of spirituality to take place in our own land”, they told me.
For the record, the VHP chief condemned the raids oin Asaram Ashram, although the Gujrat strongman Modi reportedly told him that he was only doing his duty as a CM — nothing more nothing less.
Hmm… that’s Modi for you.

Do they have guts to raid any masjid or church the same way they have did it in Ashram. Even if they want to raid any public place like Ashram, they should ask every body to come out voluntarily for search. There is no need to damage public ( Yes, it is public money spent on building Ashram for public) money as if rioters. What is the difference between rioters or police.

Now, regarding the business issue you raised, to be keep it straight. Ashram publications or medicines or any stuff are made by ashramities who want to do seva and benefit the society. They are affordable as well. For example, sant kripa churan costs is Rs.20/- for last 10 years even though inflation got 4 times. More over, ashram does not run on Govt. grants where every month govt. write paycheck to feed the people who wants to dedicate their life to God and Society. Those days have gone where Saints or saffron clad person or bramin can get the food without any effort. If you want to see how Bapuji spend each and every penny, please see it yourself. Don’t judge on hearsay. We are cynical society and does not want to see good things that one person is doing.
In Christian world pastor get millions dolors for their services and they get monthly pay for their services. It is big mulit dolor religion business where every dolor is put on conversion and propagating their religion. What you guys are doing propagating your religion.
Earning the money is not crime. Spending the money judiciously for better cause is worth while effort and every body should see that how can they give back to society by establishing Hindu school or giving money to poor or spreading Hinduism or your religion. These are all done by Asaram bapu ashram and they will continue to do all the time.
Media and public should see it on their own by listening Bapuji or visiting ashram and see it your self. Every organization of this big do have some short comings. People should see the both side of the coin before giving their judgement.

My basic fundamental question is this, if all of the 400 or so men, women, children and elderly in the Ashram who were subjected to this severere mental and physical torture by the police were guilty, why were they all released and If the conclusion is that they were not guilty why the ^&*) was the entire institution, held venerable as a shrine by hundreds of thousands of people, attacked and everyone arrested without proof? Try doing that to a Mosque and watch them kick your *** out. If these Modi chamchas are so self righteous about upholding the law, why did they arrest the protestors who stayed on hunger strike for 14 days in front of Sandesh and not even file a complaint against the morons at the libelous newspaper?

The people from outside have made the area into a mess.
Just because he says he is a Hindu, do we have to protect him?

Deepak, I saw a video from Swami Parmanand Giri at http://www.intso.org with his message for the Hindus. If I am not mistaken, he is Guru of Sadhvi Ritambhara who has played a key role uniting the Hindus at Ram Janmbhoomi, that addresses the question you asked Asaram Bapu devotees about not doing PR. It is kinda tough when both the popular media and the government are against you and everyone is bought and paid for already!

Few people i know seem to be into manasik roga long after joining them.
They too preach an extreme form of victorian morality.
It is our Dharma to awaken fellow Hindus on such cults.

Even our President Pratibha Patil is BKU follower.
These movements have not kept pace with time.
They are still in the early 19th century.

Deepakji, Param Pujneeya ASARAM BAPUJI is a great saint of todays time and he dares to call a spade a spade and hence such attacks are happening against him. He has many a times severly criticised xian morons. He with another Swami is involved in reconversion acts. This thing is not liked by xian morons. I would also like to bring to your notice some other aspects BJP leader Shri Dileep Singh Judeoji was also involved in gharvapasi and a sting operation was conducted against him, Param Pujneeya SWMI LAKSHMANANDJI was also active in reconversions and he was martyred by xian devils. This is a continuation of the same. Kindly investigate this thing properly and be a bit careful as even you are doing a good job.

I have lucidly explained that the reconversions are irking the missionaries and therefore all this drama propogated against him.
Anyway, why is Sandesh against Asaram?
Money, that is all that matters for these prideless and spineless traitors. The evil missionaries have pumped in lot of money in the coffers of these evil Sandesh people and hence this propoganda.
I hope you must be aware of ABC News Channel which actually conducted a sting against Sandesh and exposed them. Why hasnt the administration not taken any action against sandesh. The answer is simple even they have been bribed by the missionaries. We have get to the base of the problem.

It is the time to every Hindus raise their voices against this type of raids. Because now a days one after another Hindu Ashrams and Hindu saints are raiding by police with the support of political leaders.But at the end they will tell there is no evidence against them.Example. Swami Nityananda case. CID told we did not get any evidence against Swami(Deccan Herald daily dated 11-06-2010).And also in Sanatan Sanstha case. They are trying to destroy Hindu Dharma only. I think in this regard your site and another Hindu Janajagruti Samithi’s site http://www.hindujagruti.org is doing some good job. Really I appreciate.
