My heart goes out to all of you and your struggle.  As a child I was not indoctrinated into any religion but was allowed exposure to christianity through neighbors, the Bahai’ faith through my parents efforts, Toa, Budist, and Hindu through books.  I live in an almost totally christian area.  It is also a very closed minded and uneducated area as it seems most of the country is as well.  Many know a great deal about nothing and nothing about life and the “whole” nature of the earth/universe.  There is little belief in a life force as most think everything is cause and effect of “things” interacting as opposed to an intelligence coordinating the ”things” (atoms, chemicals, etc,).  They eat dead processed food, are toxic and numb to what their body tries to tell them, and have little to no intuition as a result.  The beliefs hold so many contradictions that they must abandon reason in order to be a good christian.  The ideals you hold dear are not only foreign to them but are inconcievable because it would shatter all they have been taught and render many of their actions as hurtful to their own children so there is an automatic “shut down” when certain topics are raised in conversation.  For a long time I had a hard time making sense of many things but am thankful for the teachings of the Toa and of Hindu for where the similarities lie is where I have found my greatest peace and sense of understanding of our life on this earth and the nature of the universe.  Yours is a heroic battle that I feel much of the world has benefited from whether they know it or not.  There is not always one right answer but sometimes many.  Just as a plant produces many seeds to blow in many different directions I believe it may be your differences that hold the key to survival and embrace the differences.  “They” try to divide you by your differences which only makes me more sure they are key to wheathering the vicious storm.  Never give up.  I need you and the world needs you.

    Dear Sisters and Brothers,
    I agree with Kamat.

Christian owned and Politician owned, Medias only extragrading, even small issues into bigger.

What ever they do for business and position, it is interim.

Hindu reliogion very old and gone deep routed, across World.

Mugals came, British came, but they cont shake our belief system.

But Hindus when ever, they have problem, they should pray to god.

Of course, they go to Man/Woman, who proclaims as God. Humans are not God.

In Hindu house, this should be taught.
“Blind believing of Human as God” culture should vanish.

Puranash, there is no Human God.
Also Hindus are very emotional about god mens/womens like this.

Still i didn’t understand Hinduism. searching god in Hinduism, trying to understand them for last twenty years.

    Dr.Achintya Biswas Says:

I do support the view. Hindutwa is a way of life to walk. It is high philosophy to think. It is a vision to enlight.
To know its actual force one should be positive. It is an exwrcise to develop. It is belief of our forefathers and act performed by our grand mothers.
It is a social contact with honour. It the truest socialism from the time immemorium.

    Yogesh Kamath Says:

Kudos to you Deepak, for calling spade a spade.

The only religious man and true Christian in Christianity is Jesus Christ.
As for Islam, it is nothing but the worship of Satan in disguise.

The world and its people have been destroyed by these great evils called Islam and Christianity (at least in India)

    @ Tejashree,

Even I have done AOL courses…
Cowardice and non-action don’t make life beautiful.
To see things as they are and reform them from where they are is more important.
Do see the beauty of the sky but also be aware of the mud beneath your feet.
    Be balanced.

    Deepak Kamat Says:

    @ Tejashree,

Help Muslims.  Alright.  Don’t encourage Islamic terrorists in the name of peace.

    Raveendranath Says:

    Hi Deepak,

I could not get connected you for long ever since I left Mangalore. I appreciate your conviction and commitment in the pursuit of salvaging the freedom of faith. Hinduism, if anyone  would like to call as a  religion, it is the most free religion of the world. Freedom for which we humanity struggled for centuries. I am worried the day this religion is reduced to a minority on its motherland I would not only lose my faith but along with it  my invaluable freedom, my basic  fundamental right. The survival of this free religion is the need of any freedom loving revoloutionary.

I am curious about the statements regarding Hinduism vis-a-vis Paganism.
“Hinduism and Paganism are mutually exclusive.”
“Hinduism is the eastern branch of Paganism.”
“Paganism is the western Branch of Hinduism.”
The first two, I understand easily enough, but the first doesn’t seem to fit with the last two.
Also, how would the ancient non-Indo-European traditions relate to Hinduism here? A lot of Western Pagans follow some sort of Indo-European derived path, such as Hellenism(Greek) or Heathenry(Norse/Germanic). But some of us don’t fit into that category. I mean people like myself who are Kemetic (Ancient Egyptian religion) or Canaanite religionists, for example. (Incidentally, there are a few of us in the Middle East, in the heart of Abrahamic country–may the gods smile on them always!)
Regarding Christianity, and Islam, I’d like to make three historical points:
    1) The Egyptians didn’t just get bored and leave their temples. Ditto for the Greeks, etc.
2)The early Christians encountered in Rome,a society that had not known religious intolerance. They were converted. Rome may have a lesson for us, pagan and Hindu alike.
3)In Arabia, there were polytheists. There are no more polytheists now. Only Muslims.*
*And I am confident that if I went to say, Saudi Arabia, openly professing my Kemetism, that I would be arrested and likely executed, if not killed by a zealous civilian. Even if I were to travel to Egypt, I would be nervous– more so if I lived there.

    Ankh, Udja, Seneb!
    Life, Prosperity, Health!

    @ Djehuti-mosu Sa-Hat-Horu,

You may read this.  Pagans also believe in freedom of faith.  Their very existenec is in threat thanks to the Abrahamic proselytisers.
